The Supply Chain 2011 conference theme is Managing Risks to Assure Mission Success. The conference is co-chaired by Judith Bruner, Director of GSFC’s Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate and George Morrow, Director of GSFC’s Flight Projects Directorate. Featured speakers include:

The conference provides two full days of speakers and panel sessions (October 18-19th), the evening Space Industry Supplier Social (October 18th), a guided tour of GSFC facilities, two seminars, and a workshop (October 20th). This year’s conference has been expanded to encompass two tracks of sessions, a networking and showcase session, and an additional training and education.

Space is limited for the GSFC tour, the two seminars, and the workshop offered on October 20th:
 

• Guided Tour (9am to noon) of GSFC Visitor Center and Facilities
• Seminar (8:15am to 12:15pm): Engineering Conversation for Action Seminar. Seminar Leader: Dan Berry, Director Quality Management Resources, Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.
• Seminar (8:15am to 12:15pm): Seminar in Strategic Process Management and the Transition to the AS9100C Standard for Quality Management Seminar Leader: Claes Berlin, Process Management AB, Senior Lecturer at the University of Boras in Sweden, and Executive MBA Program Director at the Stockholm School of Economics, Russia.
• Workshop (1:30om to 2:30pm). NASA Case Study: Procurement of Mechanical Systems Engineering Services for GSFC. Workshop Leader: Edward Rogers, Chief Knowledge Officer, NASA GSFC.
